Welcome to The Fringe Bar!
Last December heralded the arrival of something new in Clifton Village. Local business owner, Sylvie Dagallier, originally from France, has taken on the Greyhound public house, a well known and much loved local establishment, and has given it Parisian flavour. The front bar, in much need of some TLC, has been redecorated and given a quirky yet cosy feel to it, with friendly welcoming staff, a wide range of spirits, wines and beers, comfy sofas, free wifi...
The effort put in so far has been well received, and recently the snug bar at the rear has been finished and opened. This bar is the jewel of the crown, and promises to be a very interesting area featuring a stage replete with a Baby Grand piano, enabling local artists of all disciplines to perform their work. A bottle bar is also serving crêpes every Wednesdays, Saturday and Sunday by a French 'crêpier' and display of local artwork and mural soon to be revealed by among others, Andrew Colwill. The Greyhound has evolved, and looks set to become a regular listing on the Bristol venue scene, a little 'fringe bar' for artists to make their new home in 2012. ...
